I don't know you, and I am sure I don't want to know you.

James' response to BC's response:
Mr. C,
So which is it ? Am I an asshole or a dick head? We really need to clear this up so that I can sleep well tonight.
There are two reasons why I was being an asshole in my reply:
1. I have received other group emails from you before, and I didn't appreciate the nature of the message.
2. You broke a fundamental rule of email etiquette by including all of your recipients' names in the To: field. Some people (me included) don't want their email addresses made public in this way. I highly suggest that you use the Bcc: field in the future and put your own name in the To: field. If you don't know what Bcc: stands for, may I suggest doing a Google search?
Your inclusion of all of the recipients' names in the To: field revealed that one of the recipients is someone I wish to never have contact with again for as long as I live. This led me to believe that you are someone that I do not wish to know. I am naturally judging you by the company you keep. As for how you got my email address, that is a complete mystery to me since I do not recognize your name.
So in conclusion, please refrain from sending me any more of your group emails.
Have a life!!
James
